TfS Audits: TfS recognises Chemical Road Safety Assessment System

Recently, the Chemical Road Transportation Safety Assessment System (CRSAS) audit programme was added to the list of recognised audit programmes.

TfS is committed to driving continuous improvement with suppliers and raising the standards of on-site audits carried out by the TfS-approved audit firms: ERM, Intertek, SGS and DQS.

To further increase the geographical coverage of audits, the following audit certifications are also recognised by TfS: SMETA 4 pillar, SQAS, and PSCI.

Recently, the Chemical Road Transportation Safety Assessment System (CRSAS) audit programme was added to the list of recognised audit programmes. The CRSAS Technical Committee was formed in December 2017, with a clear vision to formulate and promote a non-profit and sustainable chemical logistics road transport safety and quality assessment system, as a natural upgrade to China RSQAS. The scope is therefore focused on logistics and warehousing providers in China.

The CRSAS protocol is aligned with SQAS Europe and its questionnaire will be regularly updated. Protocol and findings are in Chinese and in English, while auditor remarks are in Chinese.

Several TfS member companies are already using the CRSAS audit programme today. As with other non-TfS audits, members should upload CRSAS audits on OASIS. Select “other” from the dropdown list and add “CRSAS” in the description. Make sure you upload the English version of the full report, that it is not more than 24 months old and that the Data Sharing Agreement is duly signed. Up to 25% of non-TfS audits are accepted as part of each TfS member’s audit target.
