Reduces risk of supply chain disruption
What we do
Together for Sustainability (TfS) supports and coordinates the measurement of sustainability performance of chemical companies and their suppliers. Results are shared with all TfS members, enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness while simultaneously encouraging industry-wide collaboration and continuous improvement.
This collaborative approach to sustainable procurement:
Protects company reputation
Decreases costs through collaborative action
Provides a market advantage (both in sales and investment decisions)
Delivers a basis for continuous improvement
Suppliers benefit from exposure to a pool of chemical buyers with annual purchasing power of over €400 billion
Through the collaboration of our members, sustainable procurement is simplified, and the pool of sustainable suppliers increased.
All members have full access to this global network of assessed and audited suppliers. TfS members benefit from efficiencies in sustainable procurement and towards their own CSR goals; Suppliers benefit from exposure to a pool of chemical buyers with annual purchasing power of over €400 billion.
Leading the chemical industry
Through the unique collaboration of its members, TfS proactively improves sustainable procurement within the chemical industry. Representatives from TfS members contribute to TfS Work Streams, applying their professional experience to identify, develop and manage projects to address current and future needs. The latest demonstration of this is our Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas Emissions programme.
“Sustainability has become a vital criterion for assessing our vendors, which can enhance supply chain transparency and reduce costs.”
Robert Yang, Arkema
“Continuous improvement is a virtuous circle. In the past three years, finding and solving problems have benefited not only company and customers, but also employees and our living environment.”
Vicky Wu, Yunnan Addiphos Technology Co., Ltd
“As Co-chair of the TfS Governance and partnership Work Stream, I contribute to shape the future of the TfS initiative and make an active impact in the global chemical industry. We can therefore not only talk Sustainability, but live it, as our individual efforts can collectively make a difference.”
