Together for Sustainability AISBL (TfS) is a global procurement-driven initiative dedicated to improving supply chain sustainability in the chemical industry. There is an exciting opportunity to join the TfS team as TfS Communications Manager. In this position you will steer internal and external communication of TfS across all regions and collaborate with TfS members and external providers. The current TfS Communications Manager will provide training on the job and handover.
The position is Brussels-based and starts from September 2026.
Job description, tasks:
- Implement the global communication strategy for TfS to increase visibility and impact of TfS
- Plan and budget TfS global and regional communication activities annually
- Create the content for TfS communication with the TfS members and external service providers
- Manage TfS communication tools and channels: TfS website, LinkedIn, Press Releases and articles, videos, annual reports etc.
- Work with the TfS members in the global TfS workstream and in the TfS regional teams (across Asia and Americas) on planning, budgeting and supporting local communication efforts and events
- Maintain TfS visual identity and brand guideline
- Maintain and update communications material for TfS members and TfS team
- Further develop the TfS communications strategy, key messages and communication priorities in alignment with the development of TfS scope
- Work with service providers, act as key contact, manage and develop supplier relationship, strategic cooperation, budget and projects
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years professional experience as Communications Manager
- Experience as Communications Manager in the field of sustainability, procurement or chemical industry considered a plus
- Proven project management skills
- Proven knowledge and experience designing and applying communications strategies
- Proven knowledge on mix of communication tools and channels including social media
- Experience in writing, editing and crafting content and translating complex topics like supplier audits or GHG emissions into engaging communications
- Experience working with global teams across organizational structures, ideally in a member-driven association
- Experience managing external providers
Required education and skills:
- Master’s degree or higher education in public affairs, communications or related field required
- Fluency in English required, other languages e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese considered a plus
- Confident command of MS Office required; IT skills in content management systems, digital comms platforms, AI tools is considered a plus
- Proven Influencing skills and excellent communication skills
- Task-orientation with attention to detail
- Team player with cooperative spirit; intercultural working experience considered a plus
